@aveeck an early-stage board is not meant to be an "audience" you draw towards "your" conclusions, rather a workgroup dedicated to understanding and helping the business

I agree with everything except the bit about PowerPoint. I believe successful executive communication requires you to be a PPT jockey like analysis requires you to be an XLS jockey. You have to assure your audience will draw YOUR conclusions, and showing them dense spreadsheet data often will leave them confused.

Delegate, delegate, delegate! Preparing everything on your own can be cumbersome. If you have trustworthy staff and you know which tasks to take off your plate, it can be really stress-relieving.
