Hemant Taneja at General Catalyst and Jeff Fagnan are launching a new social initiative called whilst also throwing a great wine tasting cum party (or vice versa) at the 4th Annual New England Venture Charity Wine Party (ANEVCWP ?).
TUGG is meant to grow and thrive well beyond its original founders so the point here is to harness as much horsepower as possible from Boston Metro / New England as a whole. Bob Buderi at Xconomy covered it in detail.

Why attend: I guess that if you are not into the giving back thing, you can still meet VC's and pitch your wares... right now there is representation from Spark, Northbridge, Battery, Sigma, Bain, Charles River, Castile, Polaris, Commonwealth, Flybridge, Advent Healthcare, North Hill Ventures… Apparently it was also a REAL party last year.
