People deserve good life time and loans or small business loan can make it much better. Because people's freedom depends on money.

Hey, I did post about Le Web 3! Let's catch up in the New Year and I'll tell you what I am cooking in the basement.

Colette Ballou Lamotte

P.S. seeing Clavier tonight, will report all.

Haven't we all guessed that Loic is going to shill for Sarko full time? I completely support the move, but do we need a hammer upside the head to figure this one out? BTW, if you really need the hammer, see Rodrigo's blog, he's completely set it up for Loic to exit SixApart.

Ivan Pope

Well, yes. For sure, bringing politicians to the table is a good thing. Just not sure this is the way to do it.
Loic's second point above though doesn't really stand scrutiny. He says blogging conferences are dead, as if all the negative response to Le Web came from some strange subset of the internet. Whereas I'd say that blogging has come of age, it's a conversation carried on by exactly the broader community set out in the comment. Personally, I've never been to a blogging conference in my life, not Le Blogs or any other. I don't think of myself as a blogger, but as an entrepreneur. I thought the event somewhat lacking, and blogged it. It's what we do - it's a conversation.

Loic says 'The tools we developed have entered the mainstream and we must embrace that. ...many others have joined the ranks of bloggers and web entrepreneurs in recognizing the power of social software. We must bring them into our conversation.' What Loic fails to recognise is that there is a conversation going on that is rightly separate from his world and that it's a conversation to be joined or engaged with, not to be 'brought in' to whatever he think's 'our conversation' is. You can't have it both ways.

alex Papanastassiou

Fred, you are right about the achievement this conference represents for the European space. There is feedback to be taken from what happened if one is serious about getting something good going for Europe in terms of ecosystem. Loïc bashing was not a good idea as I said many times. Equally poor idea would be to dismiss all criticism out of hand without thoughtful consideration of what useful feedback is contained in it.
And by the way, Realist has a point IMHO.

Realist

"Every country has a government it deserves" Please guys, let's stop with this bs about talking to politicians to understand you. If there are enough voters to care about this stuff, politicians will naturally start caring. Otherwise just forget about it - that's the same way it works everywhere in the world.

Dimitar Vesselinov

Loic is a force for good in France and Europe...

Fred Destin

Loic, you better watch it. People are going to start thinking I did not pay for my ticket :-)

Loïc Le Meur

Thank you Fred. Pleasure to have got to known each other better through this, pleasure to have had you as a partner and pleasure to see your support. Two words: thank you.
